Monday 21 August – Friday 25th August, 10.30am – 6.30pm daily, and Saturday 26th 10:30am - 2:00pm

Award-winning international textile artist Dianne Finnegan has produced original cutting edge designs and techniques, presented exhibitions, lectures and workshops around the world including V & A Museum (London), International Quilt Festival (Houston, USA), Canada and many more.

Using her background in geomorphology, she creates highly unique patterns that have attracted global attention and shared her work through six critically acclaimed books on quilting published by Fairfax, Bay Books, Simon and Schuster. In this special exhibition, she has allowed the original cloths chosen from a global palette, to dictate the patterns organically, so the works are "according to my cloth"

The exhibition will be open to the public every day for one week August 21 - 26. Join us at the opening and closing event for a unique performance involving musician-composer Keyna Wilkins' live musical interpretation of Finnegan's quilt art alongside some of her own compositions and improvisations.

Keyna Wilkins is a pioneering Australian/British composer-musician whose compositions are performed internationally and published by Wirripang. As an innovative solo artist performing her own works, improvisations and reinterpretations, and leader of cutting-edge chamber groups, her music is characterised by a fascination with astronomy, First Nations culture, jazz, dance forms and intuitive improvisation. She has performed solo and leading ensembles around the world, was one of three finalists for the Australian Art Music Awards for Individual Excellence in 2021 and 2018 (APRA/AMCOS) and is an Associate Artist with the Australian Music Centre with five tunes in the Australian Jazz Realbook.
